Our firm has started a project on ProjectWise by Bentley between our local office (Autocad based) and a branch office (Mcrostation based). The problem lies in the fact that all customizations that we have on AutoCAD stop working once a drawing is accessed through ProjectWise. This is done because ProjectWise overwrites AutoCAD commands.Does anyone has a solution for this problem?

Can you give more specific information on this.
Is your AutoCAD customization in a custom menu.
Are you losing data stored in your AutoCAD drawings after they are pulled up in Microstation?

Hi
This thread has reminded me that I still need to post something suitable in the following thread (job for tomorrow) -
Documentum (Doc Mgmt) Anyone? (http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=10264)
ProjectWise Undefines, then Redefines Standard AutoCAD commands like Open, New, Save etc.
In my humble opinion it's one of the worst programs I've ever seen (At work I avoid it like the plague)....
Have a good one, Mike

I used something similar some years ago. I managed to merge my customisation with the third-party stuff. It's worth looking into.

Our customization is in custom menus mainly inserting doors and windows with trimming walls, inserting symbols and blocks and drawing beams and footings. The problem with the insertion of blocks can be easily solved just by replacing the Insert command with .insert. But the problem lies in the more complex routines. I do not want to start changing all the routines at the time where we have deadlines. Any suggestions to quickly solve the issue? maybe with a setting?

Can you please expand on the problems you are experiencing, so far you have not really explained (given details on) the exact problems you are having and want to resolve.
Have a good one, Mike
