View Full Version : 2022 plot a view
I have several saved views in model space in my drawing.
when i go to plot, under plot area-what to plot I select my view.
in the preview it is not the view as saved. is there a different setting somewhere?
the views change when selected from the view menu,

suggest you verify the view boundaries
further suggest using a page setup (layout tab) with the view set inside the view port
The beneift is that once set, it should return consistent results
without a copy of your file I cant compare the views in view manager againts the views you see from the plot dialog

From the help file:
https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2021/ENU/AutoCAD-Core/files/GUID-625E395D-143A-494F-A1EA-1BF119B927DC-htm.html
In theory is should be the same view as your named views in the file.
There can be some inconsistancies caused by some of the view settings
that's just it, when I select the views in the view manager they change accordingly.
but when they are selected in the plot dialog, they don't change. whichever view happens to be current is the one that displays in the plot preview.

Two questions come to mind
What is your setting for REGENAUTO? on/off?
when you define you views, do you hit the apply button after the definition?
I'm not sure either is a factor, but do want to rule them out.
In 2020, plot preview shows that the defined view as selected would plot
