Has anyone done a transparent wire mesh fence that will be transparent in elevations so that objects behind still shows up?

I thought I had the answer to this, but I've run into a problem.
I made a detail component of a transparent mesh fill region and nested this in a baluster panel and then loaded that panel into a railing family. Problem is that the panel loses it's fill pattern visibility in elevation. A standard mesh fill pattern works OK though.
Looks like a bug with a nested detail component and may be connected with the problem identified in This Thread (http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=16686&page=2&pp=10&highlight=nest%2A).
Tobie, in your case, this may not present a problem, as you possible aren't using railings ?.
If not, You can just place a fill region in elevation.

thanks beegee,
i actually used the mesh fence as a wall to attach to under side of roof. the same thing happens with windows. the don't show things behind them in elevation but do in 3D or camera. could it be a deliberate setting in revit to hide furniture in elevation, and would there be a override?
thanks for the help.
