Hello All,
I'm looking for a way to change the appearance of crop boundary globally. After extensive google searching and Chat GPT, it seems there once was an ability to do this, steps outlined below. However, with Revit 2025, Crop Boundary in Step 4 does not exist. So wondering if this ability still exists but in a different place or using different terminology?
Please note, that as a very annoying and time consuming workaround, I have been overriding graphics in view by element. This is not ideal for obvious reasons. Any other suggestions? I would even welcome a Dynamo script if someone is willing to share 8)
Manage Tab:
Go to the Manage tab at the top of the Revit interface.
Object Styles:
Click on the Object Styles button in the Settings panel.
Annotation Objects Tab:
In the Object Styles dialog that appears, switch to the Annotation Objects tab.
Crop Boundary:
Scroll down the list until you find Crop Boundary.
Change Line Graphics:
Select Crop Boundary.
In the Line Graphics section on the right, you can modify the Line Weight, Line Color, and Line Pattern.
Apply and Close:
After making the desired changes, click OK to apply the changes and close the dialog.
These changes will apply to all crop regions in the project. If you want different settings for specific views, you might need to use visibility/graphics overrides or create view templates.
