Hi All,
Has anybody seen a script that will automatically add room separator lines to each face of every wall based on a linked model?
The issue is, the clients concept model, I have to link in, has a bunch of the walls that are set to NOT room bounding. They are using rooms to calculate overall areas instead of using an actual area plan. The issue is, I need to link their model into another REVIT file so we can do a quick egress study to see if there are issues. Also, we don't want to touch anything in their model since they have schedules set up based on how they did the rooms.
The easiest was I can think of is just turn off all the room info in the linked model and then create room separation lines for the rooms. Yes, that can be very tedious so I'm trying to see if there is a way to automate that process. Or if anybody has a better way to do it using an area plans. That would be good as well!
