Option Display

Revit still has no "decent" tool to allow for design options. Phasing has been tried, Worksets has been tried, but neither with success. There should be a tool for creating options or design alternates (e.g. added Bedroom, added 3-Season Room, alternate Elevation styles, trims, and materials). There should be a list (similar to the phases list) that an option can be turned on and off. If the option is an alternate, perhaps a radio button to select the alternate option and an option for "none."

This is a need crying for attention by the residential design world. Create this and the residential design market would open even wider.

First of all, welcome and what took you so long??? :wink:

Regarding the design options tool. All I can tell you is that Revit has heard this one and understands it VERY WELL. It is my opinion that it is relatively high on their priority list. Here's to hoping it makes a release soon.

Glad to be here. Haven't seen you since AU last December. Hope things are going well for you. Sorry it took me so long to register here. I've been hanging out in alt.cad.revit lately. There are just so many places to look for info. I can't keep up and visit them all.

I knew this issue was already high on the Revit priority list. I just wanted to post it here since nobody had already and it is still a "wishlist" item.
