Copy with Basepoint - Out of Memory Error

I am constantly receiving a fatal "Out of Memory" error when attempting to "Copy with Basepoint." The number of entities being copied appears to have no bearing. The system takes forever to issue the error message before kicking me out of CAD. I must re-boot my computer to get everything running again. Help!
