How do you change balluster color?

How do you change the color of default ballusters? I can't find anywhere a method to change the render material/color. The railing I can change, but not ballusters.

The category is under railings in the object styles dialog box, click the + next to railings and you will see it there. If you have more than one material needed, add a material parameter to the balluster family.

Goto Families/railings/? in the project browser. select the baluster used in the railing. Right click/Properties and there is the material Parameter

I had the exact same situation a few nights ago and couldn't figure it out, so I had to model my baullesters to get my rendering done in time...
