Hello,

I'm wondering if it is possible to see an detail-annotation in for example base floor plan and if the same detail is present also in the firstfloorplan.

Could you please give more info. Not sure what you are asking

The annotation is view specific, so you can create multiple callouts and sections tags that ref. your typical views. So you need to create a new callout or section tag where you want it, while you are creating it, check the ref. box in the opt bar and then in the pulldown list of views select the view you wish to ref.

Hi sbrown.

I understand that annotations are view specific and also dislike haveing to copy text from one view to another. Just tried what you said and think that is brilliant.

Thanks for the great post

I try to use the rule of thumb that a note or tag only appears once in a drawing set, so rarely do I find myself copying text, with the exception of things like window details where I do alot of text copying.

Thanks for the many replies, but it still doesn't work like I want it to.

The reference to the lower level where the detail is works but I can not change the text, I want it to match numbers.
The preference is that it matches automatically (tag on a tag)

Maybe the problem is that I can't make a reference to a detail, only to floor plans.

...Maybe the problem is that I can't make a reference to a detail, only to floor plans...You should be able to, there have to be detail views to reference though...

I made a callout in the floor plan at the right scale.
When I dropped the specific callout in a sheet it was numbered.

Then when I select the callout and reference it to the specific floor level where the existing detail-callout is in it can't be numbered.
There are also no details in the pull-down menu to reference with.
