Connection of services eg(gas, sewer, power)

Hi,
I just purchased Revit and just wanted to know if this is possible. how would i go about drawing a family that enable me to get lineal meters of gas lines, sewer pipes, electrical conduit, stormwater pipes but only show on a site plan as lines.

is this possible

if so how

Take a look at this one. It'll help you figure out how to do it. Note the shared parameters diameter & pipe length.
