A while ago I tried the firefox web browser, but it had a problem downloading revit families. So I went back to Internet explorer.

Has anybody used firefox recently to download families? Does it work now?

I use Firefox and don't have any problems downloading Revit families. I'm not sure if it is something that has been fixed recently. Grab the latest version and give it a try.

I've used Firefox for a long time and haven't had any problems.

I use it without any trouble also... maybe check your setting and see what the download manager part of Firefox is trying to do with your revit files...!

Using Firefox 1.0.1 and have had no problems downloading Revit stuff.

BTW, Firefox 1.0.3 is now out (Security Update).

Has anybody used firefox recently to download families? Does it work now?Just for the record there is an issue with Firefox not supporting certain characters, don't try downloading the French content with Firefox or you will see what I mean...

I have been using Firefox for a while. The only problem I run into is when I try to log in the Autocad Subscription Center. I have to turn off the Pop-up blocker in Firefox.

The "ieview" extension for firefox is really useful in situations where a website doesn't work well with firefox - just right-click on the page, select ieview, and it loads the page in internet explorer. But also, don't forget to contact the website's administrator (or the business itself) to let them know that you're having problems with firefox. You'll occasionally get results.
