once upon a time it was 10. and then it became 9. that turned into 8,which consequently brought 7 to the light of the day. 6, 5 and 4 came in a group. 3 was hesitant. 2 was exclaimed in excitement and 1 was desperatly screamed for.
so, its time for 0 !

Hey BeeGee, can we use this? ;) Her name seems to trip off of my fingers even when I try typing it. You don't mind, do you, Tatjana?

Just showed our IT guy this post and said to him, "have you ever seen this sort of thing for the rollout of any other software package?" I can't imagine this for the latest version of C++ or Symantec Anti-Virus!
I just love the fact that this community gets so cranked up about new releases not because the software is a total failure and requires fixing but because we are just excited to see what new toys we get to play with. :Puffy:
I'm off to the download now but before I get there and install the latest I'll save myself a return post and thank the development team right now for their hard work and the fact that they do try very hard to make this a useful tool and a great piece of software. Good job.
I must have accessed a pretty fat pipe. That download took less than 2 minutes!

Good job.Just some of the new things I like are:
1 DWG Enhancements that'll save hours binding xrefs and we can now get rid of those ridiculously long file names.
2. Editing families from within projects that'll sve more hours debugging families but we'll have to review where we keep families, haven't fully investigated yet but I can see possible problems as the families "remember where they are loaded from" need to review our project file structures.
3.Default view template for printing this could save time but I hope printing remains as easy as in earlier releases.
4. And of course the API not somthing I shall delve into BUT I look forward to all the add ons that can come now from the developer network - where's that "Content Manager" that I saw at AU??
Revit goes from strength to strength - well done factory thanks again.

Mine was about average...had some 'bursts of energy' but took several minutes. I was worried it would be jammed up like the release of 7, but it seemed to go rather smoothly.
Now I'll probably have to wait a little while before installing... :(
