Fatal error

I have read up on this problem, and am dissapointed to find that only re-installing your os can solve it. I think i may have found the cause of my FATAL ERROR: Unhandled Access Violation Reading 0xffffff Exception at 6e6e76h. I was cleaning out the Jobs directory on my system, deleating all the autocad backup files, and now auocad is trying to access something i deleted. Any thought? Help please, lol.

AutoCAD looking for a missing data file shouldn't cause a Fatal Error. It may seem like like it's locked up while it waits forever though... In fact, there is no reason it would be looking for a BAK file anyway.

Does your Fatal Error occur when you launch AutoCAD LT, even before you can select a drawing to open?
