Is there a way to customize this toolbar? I want to expand the "Layer" section so that the names are not truncated with ellipses. Is there a dcl or similar file that defines it properties? Thanks

Probably not quit what you want. But....

Check out QuikPik from Menusoft (http://www.manusoft.com/Software/QuikPik/index.stm). It won't expand the toolbar itself, but it will expand the drop down. It widens it and it drops down further so you see more of the layers at once. Does the same for the other pull downs as well. Plus it several other things that are nice. There is a demo you can try for 30 days. Well worth the price.

Is similar code for the pulldown also unavailable?

Here is a screen shot of what it would look like. I think this will answer your question. If not let me know.

Hi

Might want to take a look at FixCombos (freeware) from CADwerx (http://www.cadwerx.net/)

Have a good one, Mike

Thanks all.

The Quickpix makes my Acad platform unstable (Fatal Errors). The CxFixCombos from cadwerx is smaller and seemingly stable. To customize the width you change registry keys. Does the base "Object Properties" use registry keys also for setting width? I hate messing with registry values unless I'm certain of exactly what to change.

I have been looking into this, having written other programs that read and write registry keys to move the command line box and various toolbars. So far I have not been able to find where the info for the Object Properties dialog is stored. I think that programmatically altering the registry is a lot safer than manual editing.
