Split face tiled floor showing thru casework in plan

Is there a trick to this?
Sometimes the split fade tiled area of a floor shows thru the
casework benches etc. - sometimes it doesn't!
What am i missing? Any feedback greatly appreciated.

If your casework family shows the model in a plan view, the floor pattern will not show through. If the casework family depicts symbolic line in plan representation, the floor pattern will be visible, since there is nothing hiding it.

Thanks.... i do wonder, though, why the family would be set-up like that?

Families are sometimes set-up that way to provide a lower " overhead " & better performance in the project.
