Structural columns within walls

Hi,

It is a requirement that the external masonry should have at the intersections rectangular concrete columns.
I used the column component but then when I place the walls the columns are not visible anymore and the walls are covering them. This is not a normal behaviour I would assume
Also if I draw the walls first and then try to insert the column within wall I get errors that the column cannot be inserted.
Another way of doing it is by using mass elements but I would not prefer to.

Any ideeas how to achieve this?

Architectural columns do get 'joined geometry' with walls and use wall layers for fine scale views. Use structural column family.

I assumed your wall is not concrete, otherwise in 8.0 concrete column and wall would get cleaning automatically.
