I've got 6.0 installed this morning, & am & have done the first part of the design options Tutorial.

Perusing around, it seems the Revit team has adressed the major issues discussed here over the past few months.

Great job! I take back all reservations & comments about 6.0. May the Team have a great holiday & New Year, and get some well deserved rest.

The tutorials are excellent, as always.

Just one question, though. In the design option tutorial, how did you get that dimension string between the three columns to display the dimension above & the EQ sign below the dimension line???

I'm glad to hear the Design Options tutorial is successfully teaching the basics of the new functionality.

In regards to the specific question how I added the dimension value above the EQ symbol on a dimension line, I used a little creativity to pull that off. I simply added the equality constraint first. Then I added an additional dimension referring to the same elements. I turned the leaders off and moved the witness lines along with the dimension line off the view. I then dragged the value above the EQ symbol.

It was a case where I was trying to convey the fact that the segments were constrained to be equal and also provide the value to the user. It may have been redundant information, however, I prefer to lean towards more information rather than less.

Thank you very much for the feedback regarding this tutorial!
