hello,
I want to create construction drawings from my project.
Therefore I have to delete all inner walls but have to retain my outer walls.
the only things visible in my drawing are the columns and beams and outer walls.
How is this possible in Revit.
I have to draw the span lines and stability measures
Hoping somebody can help me

The only way I know of (actually 2) is to either divide them in phases, which won't take too long, just a few seconds (ok, maybe a minute), or
create worksets (which unless you will have a few more people helping out I wouldn't suggest it) and divide the building shell with the interiors
Both of them will work....is there any other way guys???

Can't do subcatagories for system families such as walls - so worksets is your best bet. They are very easy to create and use for what you need.

I am still working in version 7.0 but you can make all of you exteroir walls "bearing" and you interoir walls to "non-bearing" that way when you create a floor plan and set its discipline to "structrual" only the "bearing walls" will show up along with your columns and beams. Your non bearing walls will not show up and will be filtered out.

Hey there,
Another option is to use Options. (sorry!) Just start a new option "interior construction" and select all interior items you want separate and click "add to option". Then, just set up your view to shown whatever option you want.
Good luck

this is a really great option. It works fantastic.
Thanks you all
