I'm making quite a few little areas. In the BPOLY dialog bog there is a "gap" setting. (it is grayed out) I went to the help and it has info for BHATCH (BHGAPTOL) Is there another setting for setting the bpoly gap?

I set the BHGAPTOL to 3 the gaps should be only a couple inches.

Any help is appreciated

Which version of ACAD are you using?

Actually we had that exact question during CAD Camp here in Fort Worth about a month ago. There's a gap setting for BHatch, but up to r2005, the same setting is grayed out for BPoly. Donnia, what did we decide?

Below snippet from the AutoCAD Online Help File [F1] -

<snip>
Defines the object type, boundary set, and island detection method for defining boundaries from points you specify. The Boundary Creation dialog box is a limited version of the Boundary Hatch and Fill dialog box.
</snip>

As far as I am aware, there is no GAP setting for "Boundary Creation" (BPoly).

Maybe as a possible alternative, something like the PEdit command with the "Multiple" option...

Command: ._PEdit
PEDIT Select polyline or [Multiple]: _M

Select objects: Specify opposite corner: <Select Objects>

Select objects: <Enter>

Enter an option [Close/Open/Join/Width/Fit/Spline/Decurve/Ltype gen/Undo]: _J

Join Type = Extend
Enter fuzz distance or [Jointype] <0.000>: <Enter required fuzz distance here>

Have a good one, Mike
