Hello,

I am using AutoCAD 2004. Can I copy text styles from one drawing into another?

Sure, just copy-paste (ctrl+c / ctrl+v) the text from one drawing into the other. As long as the text style doesn't exist in the new drawing it will create it using the style from the existing drawing.
Or you can use Designcentre (ctrl+2) to just drag them to the new drawing.

That was much simpler than I imagined.
Thank you very much.

The "Design Center will also do this by "drag and drop" and allow for copying DimStyles, TextStyle, Linetypes, Blocks, etc.

Oops, is Design Center still in AutoCAD 2004 ( I am still stuck with 2002)

Another way is simply to perform a MATCHPROP on the text.

1.Go into the first drawing with the desired style of text.
2.Enter the MATCHPROP command (or click the paint icon from your toolbar) and select a text object with the desired style
3.Go into the next drawing where you need the desired text style and simply select a piece of text that you want to changed.

That's it.
