In a level 1 floor plan view, how do I override the lineweight of level 0 walls that are visible?
They are visible because of the view depth (ie level below) setting not as an underlay.
Thanks, Elrond

I think they are considered projection lines, so there isn't a way to override just level 0, but by overriding the projection lines of walls, etc. it should affect them...of there is always the overlap 2 views on top of eachother on a sheet, but I don't think that is what you would want...

Thanks Luigi but projection lines are of elements on the plan level that are not cut in plan, not elements of the level below.

I hadn't tried to see the difference, but I trust you they are different...:)

Elrond, after I wrote my email I tried, and when I changed the view range to include the level below, lines of walls below became visible, then I changed the projection of the walls (I used 16 for exageration) and it changed the walls in my level below....Have you tried to make sure it doesn't work in your case?
I didn't try level below, I tried an actual level that was below my current level...

yes I changed the colour of projection lines and it didn't effect the walls from the level below that are visible. Cheers, Elrond

Ok, I just tried and have noticed this...maybe it will help, maybe not...
I had bottom view range and view depth set to level below and it worked....when I only have the view depth to level below it didn't work...will your view look correctly if you change the bottom view range to level below as well?

bottom view range and view depth set to level below and it worked....
OK I did this and now the level below is effected by the override settings. Thanks Luigi!
I remember someone else posting about this before and I thought there was a setting for the lineweight of elements that are below the bottom view range but still within the view depth... anyone else know about this?
Cheers, Elrond

You are referring to the " Beyond" line style.
THIS THREAD (http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=7013) may help explain.

For example, there may be a balcony 2 levels below the current plan view. and below the bottom clip plane.
By setting the View Depth to that level, the balcony would appear using the Beyond line style.
You can change the Beyond line style by selecting Line Styles from the Settings menu.

You sure it just wasn't in your view range? ;)

Heck, most of Revit is out of my range. If it weren't for all you folks, I would be still drawing by hand! lol
