In style manager I go to supply duct system definition and edit the display properties for 2 line. When I draw a duct it does not come in on the layer I assign. Everything else works (insullation linetype, center line color and linetype, etc) but not the layer. I have to assign the layer of each duct entity. Properites show the correct system but not correct layer until I change it. This seems to be true for all (duct) systems. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong, please?

Found solution.

A layer key was needed. I added a layer key and assigned it to the name of the layer that I wanted the duct system to use. I next returned to the system defintion and set the layer key to be the one I created. (I could have used a default layer key instead of creating one.

So if anyone else has this problem, this might help. Also helpful might be the info from Autodesk support site. Here is the link.
