Unable to turn off a component in site

Hi All
I have quite a strange problem. I am trying to turn off a car that is on my ground floor plan. If i go to visibility graphics and turn off the main site components the car dissapears. But if i try and isolate what catergory the car falls under in the site sub components and i turn off each sub catergory of site the car remains.

Am i missing something small?

Open the car family. Ensure it falls under the SITE family catagory/parameters (under settings) then create new object styles for the car, and change all the car lines or geometery to the new catagory, That way you will have full control of the visibilty of the car without having to switch anything else off under site.
1st rule: never use dwg in a family rather explode, and change to revit object styles. If 3d car, you cant explode, but you will find the layer under dwg/dxf/dgn catagories in visibility graphics/ Imports in families to switch off
