Chimney Breasts

Wondering what do other people use for chimney breasts.

I'm drawing a house with an externally expressed chimney breast. I've tried creating an elongated column of the required width x depth, but I find the internal wall leaf intrudes into cavity whereas I'd like the internal leaf to remain consistent and the outer leaf increase in thickness.

For similar situations I have split the wall, duplicated it and edited the new wall section to give it the required thickness. (In my case to create a brick pier around a steel column) For it to work properly in your case you might need to make the external leaf wrapping for the thicker section.
