Have a look please for attached file and try to move the window along a the wall. It moves only straight. It's very unusual interaction of objects. Honestly I don't know what to wish in this case. :( May be to wish Revit becomes a little smarter?

On the far right of your tool bar there is an icon called " Place Similar ".

Use this to place other copies of the same window in the curved wall.

Of course, I can create a new window and erase an old one. But what will you answer the *** who will suggest you using application for text editing retype your chapter in new place and delete the old one?

Because the original window was placed in a straight wall, it knows only that condition when it moves and attempts to maintain its relationships to the straight wall.

Thats why , in this case, you need to place a similar component if the window is now to reside in a curved wall.

Its not a time consuming process to do that.

I think it´s amazing that it will follow the curve when using place similar.

Thanks to Tatiana for advice. It's useful.
I have one more example of strange behaviour of window in a wall. I can fix it for sure, but I'd like to see correct results of objects operations in so respectable software as Revit.

Hi,

it is still the same reason : you have that result because you were moving a object that you have hosted previously in the right portion of the wall that is curved (host one lets name it) . when you try to move this window in another portion of a wall (host two) that is straight or has another curve (like you did), unless you do not disjoin it from the 1st host, it will keep behaving as hosted by it. so, when you wish to change a host, you will need to select the option Disjoin (when you move) or create similar when you copy. This is as designed.
you will need to use the same method even if you have 4 rectangular walls and are trying to move a window or a door from the vertical one to the horizontal one. the disjoin option allows you the bridge to another host.(each portion of the wall is a separate host)
hope this helps

Thank you, Tatiana, for explanation. But my topic is not a question why my window has so strange behaviour and how to fix this problem? Revit has enough tools for that. Just I'd like don't see an non logical objects behaviour.
