Exporting families

Does the new save family feature in 6.0 only work with families that were created in 6.0? I have an updated 5.1 model and can not save out the old families. If so this doesn't make much sense since initially most people will be saving out old families, not new ones. Is anyone else experiencing this issue and are there any known work arounds?

Thats correct only 6.0 families can be xported

Upgrade all of your families to 6.0. There is a BAT file around on this NG to do it for you.

What we were told at AU, is that this is the 'starting point'. The Revit Team realizes that it wont upgrade pre-6.0 families, but it will from now on.
