Hello,

I have a project where I need to change a paint color at the base of a wall. Usually I would use the split face tool with the paint bucket.

This project is a bit different. My walls have vertical and horizontal reveals that cause a bit of a problem.

Any ideas without using stacked walls, sweeps, etc?

I have to do this to most of my exteior walls on 4 buildings.

If you don't want to use sweep nor stacked wall then just adjust your reveal to be slightly on top or at the boundary of your split face bottom wall.

I've bit the bullet and begun to swap them out with stacked walls. As much as I love the feature of stacked walls, they can be difficult and not behave very well at times.

For example. Just changing a regular wall to a stacked wall will kick out any reveals in the existing wall. Not fun!

True. A quick workaround - select the sweeps, Ctrl X, change the wall, paste back in.

I currently use a wall hosted sweep for wainscoting.
