View Full Version : Mirror a plan
one of our current clients requires a mirrored floor plan for all projects we are producing for them. does anyone have any suggestions for creating mirrored floor plans other than "save as" since the projects are evolving we dont want to do double work.
Bud,
I don't think you can dynamically mirror a whole project whenever a change is made. You're best bet is probably to wait until the project is finished before you "save as".

Easy Way = when finished with plans, export to DWG/DXF and then reimport it and just copy/mirror the annotations you need.

Even easier, link the plan as a rvt file, import it, mirror it and then copy the annotations.
You will not be able to schedule from the linked file though.
in any case, it's probably easiest to complete the original plans first...

If they just need a print and annotations are not required, you can print on transparent medium and then make a copy from the back side. It will give you a mirror image with no added work.

Using a linked file overcomes this problem. You can issue progress mirrored plans with the other plans.
thanks beegee, that sounds like the best alternative that i have heard so far.
