Just was having a look through a journal file that was created when i was upgrading our library thought people might find this interesting:

'DBG_WARN: Revit has allocated far more than the expected number of GDI resources -- check for leaks.: line 3399 of MFC\CRS.cpp.
' At line number 37 of source journal

'DBG_WARN: About to use a null pointer. Somebody please fix me.: line 182 of MFC\MFCChildFrm.cpp.

Somebody please fix me... i'm broken...

MFC

Microsoft foundation classes? Perhaps it's MS that needs to fix the bugs ;-)

Guy Surely one of you can decode the other acronym in the filename from the first 'DBG_WARN'?

CRS = Can’t Remember Stuff  ( or Carrier Router System or Character Reference Sheet or Configuration Report Server or Centralised Results System )

Still doesn’t mean anything to me.

REVIT has allocated far more

Yeah, but it's much more fun bashing Microsoft :-)

DBG stands for debug. I was talking about CRS.

Looks like most readers were post Autodesk users. I forgot you didn't exist before Autodesk.....:-)

We have a winner.

Charles River Software was incorporated 10/31/97. The name was changed to Revit Technology Corporation in late 1999, after the first beta release but before the launch of Revit 1.0. Revit Technology Corporation was the name until 4/1/2002 when Autodesk bought the company. CRS.cpp was one of the first files, and no one bothered to change the name when the company name changed.

Irwin, whose idea was it to make the 'transition' to Autodesk on April Fool's Day???!!!

Things worked out this way. On the other hand I am the one to blame for incorporating on Halloween.

Remember, these answers may appear on future Revit trivia tests.

What really gets me is your avatars! People are gonna look over there <====== and say "These are the people responsible for Revit???"
