I have developed four options. My Option Set shows up in Visibility/Graphics and the Design Option shows Automatic but when I pull the drop down list none of my options show up. Why?

Maybe this is a bug, but after closing down in frustration, then starting up again, I was able to access my options for visibility. The first time I got the options for a moment but they were lost again. Started the Project again and they were there. No changes made. Is it me or is it memorex?

When you go to a specific view, and invoke the view/visibility dialog, then pick the design options tab, your choices are "automatic", which means whatever option is currently open will display, otherwise if none are open, the primary option will display. You can force the view to display any option you choose, by selecting that option in the dialog box.

Andrew,
Thanks. I'm still not sure exactly what was going on. I tried replicating it. Thought maybe I was still in the Edit mode of Design Options, not the case. Whatever it was it seems to be humming along nicely now.
I knew what you are talking about but couldn't get the options to show up. But after saving and shutting down, things have worked fine since. I'm think it was an error on my part but don't know which one.

Seems I am back to square 1. Here's my situation. I have Made four Option Sets: Options Set 1-with Pediments and Arched Pediments. Option Set 2-with Pilasters. Options Set 3-with Cornice. Option Set 4-with Roof Detail.
I want to control the visibility of the options in each set: either on or off. I realize that each Option Set with only one option will Automatically be a default. How do I make it so that I can or can't show these options in the model?
At this point I can't even choose between the two options in Set 1. Where am I going wrong?

One way to handle it is to create (duplicate) a view for each option, & then name the view i.e. First Flooor - Option 1. Do this for any views you wish to display.
Then go to view / visibility, click the design option tab, & set the view to the option you wish to display rather than the default "automatic" setting.
Those options will only display, even if you open a different design option to edit.
