Hi all.
I have a problem with my elevations.
They are taken directly from the model, but there is no differentiation in depth or lineweight. So things that are in different planes appear to be in the same plane and everything is rendered flat.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Currently, you need to use the PEN tool to differentiate the depth of the elevation(Manually). I haven't practiced enough with the silhouette option within the "Advange Graphic Model" but will effect your elevation automatically, just not by depth.

Feel free to use the lineweight button to modify "Out of the Box" elevations in order to achieve the desired look.

You can also affect elevation lineweights from within the object styles dialog using the "projection" lineweight to set lineweights for things like sweeps, curtain wall mullions, etc. etc. etc.
The silhouette function is useful, but limited. I foresee that being developed more down the road, though, since your question has come up before and it seems like a popular request to have 'smarter' lineweights in elevation.

Depending on what you are going for, yes the linw work tool is what you use to get the elevations to realy with heavy and light line to represent depth. I like using the "shadow" option in the AVG to show depth without picking each line and redoing it if you copy or delete an object. You can lighten your shadows to a light gray so you still see what's underneath and they can read very well at the standard 45/45 shadow angle...
