Modelling All Things Fabric

Has anyone else had to model fabric in Revit? Two things I've needed to model have been theatrical curtains and sun shade "sails". Both of these are difficult to show 3dimensionally and look "right". Anyone else run across similar issues and/or have advice?

I would use a very thin Blend (or a series of them) with a slight transparency.

I posted the family and it is HERE (http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=2054). I used blends then but they are costly from a performance standpoint.

Doing swags with fabric are a challenge to be sure. I'd be interested to see how folks tackle these. One approach might be to use 2D linework for elevations but that doesn't do much for 3D views and rendering.

I just used a curved extrusion, but I wasn't trying to get a very good resemblance to fabric...this isn't very realistic, but when you apply a transparency it looks ok even in the shaded view
