Once again, I am having trouble querying a Terraserver Image. I followed previous help provided here to do the query, ie:

1. I made a new drawing and inserted the terraserver image using the world file.
2. Started an existing file with the assigned global coordinate system of NAD 83 Colorado North State Plane feet (I had previously imported shapefiles into this drawing successfully, so I assume all is well with the existing file coord system).
3. Opened the Map>Tools>Assign Global Coordinate System dialog box and set the coord system of the terraserver drawing to the same coord system as the current drawing.
4. I attached the terraserver drawing file to the current file, defined, and ran a query for the layer where the image was located.

The image came in to the wrong location, and 3.28084 (1 meter) times smaller than it should be. What did I do wrong? Perhaps there is something I need to do to configure MAP to adjust for coordinate system and datum?? I'm confused. This stuff constantly baffles me. I've re-done it several times, all with the wrong result. Hellllllllllppppp.........

Forgot to mention that I am using map 2005. Thanks in advance for any help.

3. Opened the Map>Tools>Assign Global Coordinate System dialog box and set the coord system of the terraserver drawing to the same coord system as the current drawing.
Set the terraserver drawing to the coordinate system that the world file is set to. Then when you attach the drawing and query it, map will do the conversion to change the terraserver drawing coordinates to match your existing drawing coordinates.

Thanks, Glenn. The drawing still comes in in the wrong place, but at least the scale seems right. I ended up just "best fit" locating the image, but it was easier to do than monkeying with the scale to get it exact. Not sure why this always seems so difficult for me. I appreciate your help!

All I can think of now is making sure that your using the same coordinate system as Terraserver is using.
