View Depth and Cut Plane

I'm trying to produce a floor plan that shows both the main level of a residence as well as its lower split level.

I'm having a problem when I have high silled windows on the main level and standard height windows in the lower level. When I play with the view range (trying to have both appear) I'm not able to get either one or other window to display properly.

Are there any 'overrides' that can be used so that objects within a wall are displayed at a differing cut plane than to the preset view cut plane height like in ADT.

Any suitable work arounds for this?

No workarounds required - use Plan Region. From the View > New menu, draw a box around the area and set its cut plane to be different to the main plan.
