Grid lines

How do you lock objects to a grid line if the grid line is inserted after the objects. Columns in my case.

Use the align tool, pick the grid line, then pick the reference line in the column that should be aligned to the grid. A lock icon should appear. Pick the lock icon to lock it. Or, move the column away from the grid, move it back, and click on the lock.
