Sloped Ceiling Behavior

Trying to slope a ceiling w/slope arrow and have the edges remain sq. to the ceiling.
Right now they are perp. to level and not sq. to ceiling panel.

I don't think there is any aspect of a ceiling's properties that will allow you to change the shape of the ceiling ends. One way around this would be to make your ceiling as an in-place ceiling family using an extruded solid.

Yeah, that's what we ended up doing. Except it has to be generic model and not ceiling model.

Why does it have to be a generic model? What causes that limitation?

The biggest problem with that, I presume is (1) scheduling and (2) ceiling-based objects don't work (?)

We created a ceiling based family panel, but it will only insert if there is a ceiling. How ironic, we are tryingto create a paneled ceiling for an auditorium. So, the generic panel doesn't care where it is, but lights and other ceiling based items won't work or schedule.

Theres the rub, I'm between clubs with no out.
