Good day everyone,
Can we make centreline drawings in revit....ie for the columns so that we get the sizes of the column and also the distance from the x and y axis....

Sure can.
Use the " Spot Dimension - Spot Co-ordinate Tool " under Drafting. Under Properties enter X for the East West and Y for the North South.

UPDATE:
I did some checking with this and it does not work the way I had assumed it did.
You can only select one of the columns centre lines at a time. That means you can only accurately place a marker for either the X or the Y cordinate, but not both at the same time !
That leads to an ugly work-around, wherby you must create a spot marker for the X co-ordinate ( with no Y setting ) and another for the Y co-ordinate (ditto ) and then place each marker.
