Hi,
Can somebody explain what´s the difference between the Section View and Detail View in the Section and Callout commands? It´s only question of organisation of the project.

Hey there,
From what I have noticed:
Detail callouts are view specific vs Sections which show in all views. (There may be a subcatagory visibility setting under "annotations" for Detail callouts that makes them so by default; however, I have not checked.)
Detail callouts have different 'heads' which represent the old hand drafting standards.
Detail Callouts can reference other views and be named "typ" or "sim" etc. by creating new detail callout types.
The browser is set up to list separately Sections, Details and "Typical Details" if you you have added such types of callouts.
There are more I am sure.

Sections are always vertical. Details can be cut at angles.
However detail cuts are not view specific. Thet do show up in all views. It is callouts that have the default option "Show in" Parent View Only. It would be nice if sections and details had this option also.
Detail and section heads are pretty much interchangable. Each can be made to look like the other. By default they area different.
Sections, Details and Detail Callouts can all be made to reference other views and all can be made to have typ. sim. etc....
So the big difference is vertical cuts vs. cuts at any angle.

Also becareful with detail views as they don't have the same controls as "real views" Ie you can't place room tags, stairs get cut differently in detail views, you don't have crop regions in elevation callouts that or detail views. I try to "keep it real" and turn off the model if the views in anyway relate to the model. I use the detail views and detail callouts and sections in standard details that don't have a direct connection to the model.
