Linking Excel Files in a dwg (OLE)

Can anyone share how to control the size of an excel spreadsheet linked in autocad. I am having a problem inserting the entire spreadsheet using OLE.

Older versions of Excel and the OS have this issue. It is resolved in the following versions (or greater):

Excel XP or later
Windows 2000 or later

Is there another fix for this, I am using both of those. As a matter of fact, I believe I am using MS 2002.

What is "MS 2002"? Microsoft Office XP (2002)?

What version of AutoCAD? How much RAM is on your computer? How big is the spreadsheet?
