Is the Shift to Copy shortcut in grips gone in 2006? I have looked in help & didn't see anything that would toggle this?
I use this a bazillion tines a day, can anyone help me before my shift key freezes up :screwy:
thx in advance
UPDATE...I have discovered Shift has been replaced with Ctrl in the Grips shortcut.
This works the same as Shift did previously.

Thanks for the link Mike, I had seen this before.
I guess I'll have to retrain my self to the new way.
I wonder why they dropped the Shift thing in grips? it has been there since the begining of grips

Ok after trying the new way I remembered why I didn't use it in 2005, you can't enter a distance. It's only good for a "quick copy" that you have to move after to make it presice.
With the old Shift feature I could pick entities for my distance & hold down the shift after the inital copy to array the same distance.
Robert what is this temporary overrides you speak of?

Robert what is this temporary overrides you speak of?
As a sample:
Turn on OrthoMode.
Start the Line command.
While you are dragging the crosshairs around note how you are constrained to ortho directions.
Now hold the <Shift> key down while dragging. Note how ortho has been temporarily overridden.
Release <Shift> to return Ortho back to its initial state.
There are many other temporary overrides. Read up on them in the New Features Workshop (Manage/Customization and Migration) and in the help files.
