When I export to a .dwg file, all of the geometry exports to the proper layers and the layers have the proper color, however the exported elements are not necessarily set to color "bylayer." Is there a way to control this in the export file?
Thanks!

I just tried an export with 6.0, and everthing, including families converted to blocks, came out with the color set to "bylayer".
I looked at some pre 6.0 dwg exports, and block colors came out "byblock".
If you're still using 5.1, I know of no way of controlling it via the export, other than exploding the blocks in acad.

This is kind of the same topic, need a little help
I tried exporting to Autocad after setting up my layer standards but lines that were shown in Revit as "dashed", such as elevation level lines, came into autocad as "continuous" line not "dashed". Actually all my lines are continuous!! Hehe, I 'm must be missing a setting in Revit.
How and where do you tell Revit what line type the exported data needs to be. I thought it would be with the .dwg layer export but apparently not.
