Saving a wall family for reuse

I would like to save a wall family created in one project for use in other projects.

I started to use "File/Save to Library/Save Family" but then I didn't know where to put it. There isn't a wall category in the Library.

How should I be doing this?

can't you just copy and paste the wall into your project template or into the new project?

copy and paste it into your template, or create a file that is your standard wall types and paste it there. Then when you need it in a project, open the "walls.rvt" file, and cut-n-paste the one you need into your project.
