Purging import .dwg files

Is it possible to purge imported .dwg files? I have imported a file, it has served its purpose, and it is time to go.

Deleting the object takes it out of the graphics, and I'd like to have it go away from the list in the DWG/DXF/DGN Categories tab of the Visibility/Graphics dialogue.

Any advice?

By design, the headng and sub-categories for an import should be removed from the Visibility/Graphics overrides should be removed when its associated import is deleted.
