I have manges to set up and run sheet manager effectively to produce cross sections sheets that I like. I cannot seem to get any pipe data imported into the cross sections. I am using AutoCAD LDD3.

I have run all profiles and imported pipe data there, so I know the data is correct. I would just like to get it into my cross sections. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

You want to draw pipes in cross sections in Sheet Manager.

You must create a section sheet style with pipe label codes before drawing pipes in cross sections.

To draw pipes in cross sections in Sheet Manager:

Plot cross sections in model space using one of the plotting commands on the Cross Sections menu.

Draw sections in model space using the Pipes > Finish Draft Sections >Draw Pipes command to draw the pipes on the model space sections.

Use Sheet Manager to generate the section sheets

from the help menu:

To create cross sections of finished draft pipe runs

From the Pipes menu, choose Finish Draft Sections mk:@MSITStore:C:Program%20FilesLand%20Desktop%202004helpcivil.chm::/_menuaro.gif Draw Pipes.

Do one of the following:

<LI class=ListBullet>Select the pipe run.
Press ENTER, select the run from the Defined Runs dialog box, and then click OK.

Enter the range of cross section stations on which to plot the run.

Press ENTER twice to end the command.
this will draw the pipe in the road cross section.

Thanks, Bruce...

I got that to work...somewhat. Does the frame size have something to whether or not the pipes will show? I was under the impression that the frame size would change given the data in the section, but I am having some pipes not plotted as they seem to fall outside the frame.

All in all, at least I am getting something now. I appreciate your help. Thanks.

Not sure on that. You may need to sample a wider section. Also you may need to add lines below grade on your cross section settings. I just haven't done the pipe cross section routines that much.

Check your datum settings. Makes sure that it is set below the pipe inverts when you process/create the sections.
