I have a Lower Level Plan and the client does not want it right now. I want to keep the design layout for the future. How can I hide the layout without making a new project for it?
Have you looked at Design Options, or if you think it will be built later, possibly Phasing. or even depending upon what your trying to acheive - Worksets

You could make it an option.

Does that mean he only wants the upper level floor plan? If so you could just use the view range.
Otherwise I would say assign the elements to a design option and then modify its visibility in the Vis/Graphics Overrides.

I see how to use the design options a little bit. I did and have an unfinished and a finished lower level. The problem is that I want to hide all of the doors and walls in the interior of the lower level. I have a walkout and want to keep those doors. When I go to the vis/graphics overrides I turn off the walls, but it turns all the walls off included the exterior walls. Some help please.

Design options would work.
Set up two options, then cut/paste all the existing stuff you want to save, but hide, into the secondary option.
You'll only see it when you invoke that option, or if you manually override what option shows in view/visibility dialog.

If not Options, then Phases. Go to the Phases dialog and create a new phase AFTER "New Construction" called "Future Work." Then grab all elements not needed in current scope, go to Properties and change Phase Constructed to "Future Work."
