I am nearing completion on a couple of projects using 6.0, and was wondering if anyone has completed any projects using 6.0 yet?
If so, did you have any problems?

You work fast

Revit is fast!!!

I do mostly residential. If the house is small then it's that much faster!
I'm reserving doing any larger projects on 6.0 just to make sure everything is good.

I am finishing a house that was started in 5.1 but finished w/ 6.0. I haven't had any problem (there aren't many differences). 6.0 helped out with the new plan region, and stair railings

We are completing a small [2400SF] commercial addition and renovation project in 6 that was started in 5.1. No problems yet. Repeated detail function has come in handy. :D

I'm still waiting for a serial number.
So I feel like a kid with a huge candy but I'm told: "dont eat it yet"

v6 seems slow- others are telling me the same-also it keeps telling me that i have to adjust my graphics gear-have they made it more graphics processor intensive?-I have screen refreshing problems with artefacts remaining on screen after changing views-don't tell me to upgrade my graphics card because I did not have such problems in v5 :( .

Ross,

There's been some issues with having to turn down graphics acceleration values.
There have been a few posts on this subject. You might want to read them.

Cheers! :D

I've actually experance the opposite; Revit 6 is slightly faster overall, and seems to be much faster in redrawing views as well as working better with the OpenGL accelleration. Go figure!

just upgraded to a dual head ASUS V9520 128 Mb FX 5200.
I think they are right about graphics being handled by CPU not GPU.
Still slow and jumpy compared to 5.1.
Does new build adress this problem.
Also I thought 6 would have had twin monitor support.

:D I began a 10,000 s.f., two story mechanic's service center in Revit 5.1. We just completed it in Revit 6.0 and with a final file size of roughly 35mb, I can rave about the speed increase of Revit 6.0. We are running Dell Precision P4's and 1gb Ram. The only glitch we ran into was in Drafting Views. All white masks like in the break line detail component, would print black when in print preview and in hard copy. Revit customer architects weren't able to duplicate the problem, but never the less it was pesky. We finally had to loose the masks! The rest of the program was great... :D

Swede,

As you were doing battle with your plotter did you try changing the white fill to something just slightlty off white?
