I have a wall with an embedded storefront. If I change the type of wall or even select the wall and move it, the storefront jumps out of the wall
I have attached a file. The image shows the top wall - correct. The bottom wall was identical and I simply changed the wall type and the storefront jumped out. Any thoughts?

The bug is related to the location lines. If you changed both the host and embedded walls to use "Wall Center" as the location line, they should stay put.

Again, we are sorry for your troubles. I believe you are seeing the same problem as described above.
The only real workaround I know of is to use the wall centerline as the loc line for both host and embedded walls.
Here is an idea that may help though:
Just delete the store front wall and instead simulate its presense by splitting both side faces of the host wall and paint the split portion to glass.
Once your wall types are finalized, just add in the real store front wall.

We are not allowed to say anything definite about 8.0, but I'd say there is a 95% chance that this problem is fixed there

Mod Note this bug was in 7.0. I believe it has been fixed in 8.0.
