I have recently had problems with some sites, from whom I regularily download zipped CAD models, where the zip files have automatically opened upon completion of the download. Hence, I dont get the option to "save as". However, when these zip files do open, they are all empty. Has anybody else seen this behaviour before? And, if so, does anybody have a cure? Thanks in advance,

Hi
Just out of interest, what happens if you right-click on the ZIP file download and choose "Save Link As" (Firefox. From memory IE says something like "Save Target As") from the pop-up menu?
What browser do you use?
Within Firefox -> Tools -> Options -> Downloads page
If using IE maybe check out the Options dialog box for something similar (sorry I don't use IE so I could be talking total rubbish here).
Have a good one, Mike

If your company has a corporate firewall or anti-virus software, it may be stripping the file contents out of the zip file automatically.

Using IE6, but I don't get the option to "Save as", so it's getting to be a major annoyance. I checked the options, but can't find any reason. I think Arcadia may have it right, but my IT manager is on a month's leave:roll:
