I hope to be forgiven if I am in the wrong forum but my question does have to do with sharing files. We provide outside A&E firms "base" (building drawings) for their use in doing renovations for us. They are instructed to not move this drawing from its location with respect to (0,0). Do they follow this instruction? Some do others do not. My question is if I put the exterior walls on a locked layer, is there a way to keep my contractor from unlocking that layer and moving things around?

Just letting you know I have moved this post from the DWF composer forum to the AutoCAD General forum. I think it belongs here..

Tell him he's fired if he unlocks that layer with the walls. Do you really want someone working for you that can't follow directions? Otherwise, I really don't know how else this could be accomplished.
