View Full Version : Switching Topo Contours off with linked files

Hi There

I have two drawing files, my buiding and my site plan

I have a site plan which has been drawn using the topo surface tools. In this drawing called "Site" I am able, using visibility graphics, to switch off primary and secondary contour lines within the Site drawings - that works fine.

However, due to a bit of a mix up earlier in the project the Building drawing imports the site drawing - not the usual of the site drawing importing the building. But this is too late to change at this moment of panic.

Even though the primary and secondary contours are switched off using VG in the Site drawing once it is read into the building drawing they are on again and I cannot switch them off in the building drawing as the VG option for the site witin the building drawing only offers me to switch Topography on of off via the tick box.

Does anyone have any ideas hw to switch off contours within a linked drawing ?
I hope this post makes sense.

Many Thanks

Dave

Why can't you go back to importing the building drawing into the site drawing?

One solution would be to open the topo project, & export the view you want to .dwg.

Then in the building project, import the topo.dwg into the view you want.

You'll then see the contours as layers within the view/visibility dialog, which can be turned off.
